Bermuda's events and festivals bring out the best of the island. Experience prestigious sporting competitions, exciting celebrations of culture and cuisine, beloved holiday festivities and more. Bermuda Restaurant Weeks

Celebrate the island’s unique food culture with Bermudian-inspired menus and great deals at dozens of restaurants. During Restaurant Weeks Explore a world of diverse culinary offerings and take advantage of a variety of prix fixe menus at different price points. 

Bermuda Marathon Weekend

The annual Bermuda Marathon Weekend is just right for the active-minded traveler – three days of runs (not just a marathon), each with a truly spectacular backdrop. The weekend event, which also includes festivals, awards ceremonies and more, will take place January 12-14, 2018.

Bermuda Festival of the Performing Arts

The Bermuda Festival of the Performing Arts returns every January through March, bringing to the island world-renowned performers who thrill audiences over and over again.

Bermuda International Film Festival 

Soak up some culture, lie in the sun and watch groundbreaking cinema at night – sounds just about perfect, doesn’t it? The Bermuda International Film Festival attracts some of the world’s leading filmmakers (and some megawatt star power) to the island year after year. 

Turtle Hill Golf Club

Grey Goose World Par 3 Championship

The Grey Goose World Par 3 Championship is one of the most exciting events in Bermuda's golf calendar. The tournament attracts qualified Bermudian golfers, world-class professional golfers and golf enthusiasts, all prepared to take on the challenging course at Turtle Hill. Over 120 golfers from more than 10 countries will take part in the 36-hole stroke play individual competition, with both professional, amateur men's and ladies divisions. 

Bermuda Triple Challenge 

The Triple Challenge is three days, three races, more than 75 obstacles and one week of fun. The three-day obstacle course series showcases three of Bermuda’s beautiful, historical and cultural venues. Each day’s challenge offers a 3-10K challenge with varying obstacles suitable for all levels of fitness, challenging both strength and stamina for ages 13 and up. Celebrate the end of each day with a post-event party. The event is now certified as an OCR World Championship qualifying event. Register as an individual or with your team. 

Good Friday KiteFest in Bermuda

Good Friday

Let's go fly a kite! An annual Good Friday tradition, the Bermuda Kite Festival sees the skies over Horseshoe Bay Beach filled with colourful, often handmade kites. A typical Bermuda kite is made of tissue paper, sticks, and glue… a tedious process but well worth the reward. Participants vie to win prizes in categories such as most innovative kite, best looking kite and even ugliest kite. There's also a hotly contested fish cake competition, along with tasty hot cross buns.

MOTH World Championships

Bermuda is home to one of the world’s perfect sailing arenas: the Great Sound. Fantastic winds, blue water and little to no current. Recently the host country for the 35th edition of the America’s Cup, it’s the perfect place to host the 2018 International Moth World Championship, which will feature high-octane sailing action from March 21-April 1.

Bermuda Invitational Permit Meet

The Bermuda Invitational is one of a series of permit meets sponsored by the Bermuda Track and Field Association. The schedule of events consists of 100m, 400m, 400m Hurdles, 800m, 1500m, Men’s Long Jump and Females’ High Jump. Come out and enjoy these exciting races and field events, typically held at the National Sports Centre.

Bermuda Agriculture Exhibition

The Bermuda Agricultural Exhibition is an annual three-day event held at the beautiful Botanical Gardens National Park in Paget Parish. The exhibition includes school displays, floral shows, animal exhibits and equestrian programs, all related to Bermuda’s agricultural heritage. All are welcome at this fun, family-oriented event.

The Town Crier re-enactment in St. George's

Peppercorn Ceremony

This unconventional ceremony celebrates the time (hundreds of years ago) that a single peppercorn was exchanged for a rent payment. The Peppercorn Ceremony is one of those events that makes you feel as though you’ve travelled back in time, with a parade full of officials and dignitaries in full-period garb, horse-drawn carriages, military music and a classic Town Crier narrating the festivities.  

MS Amlin World Triathlon Bermuda

Join ITU World Champion Flora Duffy out here on her beautiful island home to race World Triathlon Bermuda on April 28, 2018. Don't miss this bucket-list World Triathlon Series event. Participate in sprint and standard distance events -- swim in the warm, crystal clear waters of the Atlantic Ocean, bike beautiful winding roads, and run a colourful course in the center of Bermuda's capital Hamilton.

Harbour Nights

Harbour Nights is the place to be on Wednesday nights in the City of Hamilton from early May through August. With the glorious Bermuda sun setting on Hamilton Harbour as a backdrop, local crafters and artisans intermingle alongside culinary delights as diverse as Bermuda's culture. The night gives way to live performances and cultural expositions. 

Antigua Bermuda Race

The race is on! In the second editon of the Antigua Bermuda Race, a competing fleet of luxury yachts sets sail from Charlotte, Antigua to Bermuda and her alluring crystal blue waters.

Bermuda Day

Break out the swimsuits and Bermuda shorts – summer in Bermuda begins with the Bermuda Day long weekend. Thousands of people crowd the streets of Hamilton to celebrate Bermuda’s rich heritage with a parade, music, dancing and other festivities that stretch long into the night.

Annapolis Bermuda Ocean Race

The Annapolis Bermuda Ocean Race covers 753 miles, making it the longest ocean race on the east coast of the U.S. The distance isn’t the only difficulty, however. Setting sail from Maryland’s Chesapeake Bay – known for its unpredictable winds and heavy shipping traffic – and traversing the swirling currents and wild weather of the Gulf Stream will test any crew’s mettle.

Bermuda Heroes Weekend 

Experience the best Carnival-style celebration to ever grace the pink sands of Bermuda. Daily events during Bermuda Heroes Weekend include food, music, a parade of bands, boat rides, breakfast parties and "Pan In The Park" with international Steel Pan musicians.

Sailing in the Newport Bermuda Race

Newport Bermuda Race

Known as the “Thrash to the Onion Patch,” the Newport Bermuda Race is one of Bermuda's most famous sailing races. The 635 nautical miles between Newport, Rhode Island and Bermuda offer high winds and big waves – elements an adventurous sailor loves. This race is bi-annual and will next take place in June 2018.

Bermuda Triple Crown Billfish Championship

Catch ‘em if you can! During the Bermuda Triple Crown Billfish Championship, teams of anglers catch and weigh as many fish as they can in three days in the first leg of the Bermuda Triple Crown series.

Cup Match is celebrated island-wide

August

Cup Match 

It’s centered around the cricket match between two island rivals – St. George’s and Somerset – but there’s a lot more going on during Cup Match time: concerts, dance parties and lots of food and drink to name a few.

Harbour Nights

Continuing through August, Harbour Nights is the place to be on Wednesday nights in the City of Hamilton. With the glorious Bermuda sun setting on Hamilton Harbour as a backdrop, local crafters and artisans intermingle alongside culinary delights as diverse as Bermuda's culture. Non-Mariners Race 

Once the parties from Cup Match die down, be ready to catch a party boat on Sunday morning to the Non-Mariners Race. Practically every boat registered in Bermuda is on the water and most likely anchored in Mangrove Bay to witness a non-race of barely seaworthy vessels slapped together with all types of building materials, including the kitchen sink. The first to sink wins!

Sand Sculpture Competition

Celebrate the end of summer by taking part in the annual sand sculpture competition at the award-winning Horseshoe Bay. The competition categories are children 12 and under, teenagers, families, adults, companies and tourists, and prizes are awarded.

City Food Festival

Food and wine lovers won't want to miss the City Food Festival, which features wine tastings, walking tours, a three-day chef competition and the all-day food festival featuring many City of Hamilton restaurants. Hamilton is also planning to feature an international chef who will host live demonstrations throughout the event. Whether you're a visitor or local, don't miss this chance to enjoy diverse, delicious Bermudian cuisines and sample multicultural delicacies.

World Rugby Classic

Some of the world’s greatest rugby athletes converge on Bermuda for an event that draws the sport’s most passionate fans. Beyond the thrill of the matches, the World Rugby Classic involves parties and concerts where fans and players can mix and mingle. 

Viper North American Race

Life is too short to sail slow boats! A high-performance one-design sport boat, the Viper 640 is a fun and fast catamaran. “Fun” and “fast” are also words that will apply to the Viper North American Championship in Bermuda, as teams battle it out on those legendary turquoise waters.

Goodwill Golf Tournament

Every December, the island's best courses host the Bermuda Goodwill Golf Tournament, the oldest Pro-Am tournament in the world, with teams from the U.S., Canada and England all participating against gorgeous coastal backdrops.

National Trust Christmas Walkabout

The Bermuda National Trust’s yearly Christmas Walkabout in the Town of St. George sees one of the oldest established towns in the new world get in the holiday spirit. Lavishly decorated historic homes (some dating back to the 17th century) open their doors to the public. Re-enactors in period garb roam the candlelit streets, and classic carols add to the magical atmosphere.
