Getting married on our island is really quite simple. Here are the three easy steps needed to meet Bermuda's wedding requirements.
STEP 1 - Complete a Notice of Intended MarriageDownload a "Notice of Intended Marriage" form or request one from the Bermuda Government's Registrar General's office Tel: 441 297 7709 or 441 297 7707 Fill out the form and mail it back to the Registrar General along with a cashier's cheque or bank draft made payable to the Accountant General, Hamilton, Bermuda, in the amount of US$330 (includes certificate). Note the fee of US$330 is with effect April 1, 2010 and is subject to an increase effective April 1, 2012. Copies of final divorce decrees or death certificates, if applicable, must also be included. STEP 3 - Ensure you have two witnessesThe witnesses must be over 18 years of age and must be present at the ceremony. The Registrar will happily supply witnesses but Monday to Friday only. |
