Bermuda Lecture & Tours’ Guided Walks & Talks Tours

Various locations island wide

Join Tim and Mary Rogers as they lead private guided walking tours (no join-up’s). Tours are led by the husband and wife team, (a former teacher and a conservationist), who specialise in history, architecture and natural history.

The BLT tours are ideally suited to active couples, families with children and also groups of up to 30 people. 

Walks are by arrangement and can be history/architecture/nature-based or a combination. Walks are on foot from 2 – 3 hours. Areas explored are the Royal Naval Dockyard, City of Hamilton, railway trails, nature reserves and much more.

Tours are priced by the hour. Please book in advance via email.

Masterworks Museum’s ‘Drawing with Light: Photography in Bermuda’ Exhibition

Masterworks Museum of Bermuda Art, Botanical Gardens, 183 South Road, Paget

This amazing Bermuda photography is the first time that the Museum has ever undertaken this ever present but overlooked medium with a historical overview in mind. The exhibits’ main feature is cameras and their designs along with vintage black and white photographs. These photographs from the Masterworks collection are sure to delight and enrich your visit!

Bermuda Institute of Ocean Sciences Tours

Bermuda Institute of Ocean Sciences, 17 Biological Lane, St. George’s

Every Wednesday, Bermuda Institute of Ocean Sciences staff members lead free tours of the BIOS campus and facilities. Tour groups explore the highly equipped laboratories and meet some of their scientists and students. When the R/V Bank of Bermuda Atlantic Explorer is at dock, groups may get the chance to see this 168-foot ocean research vessel.

Guides begin the tour with a summary of BIOS’s history in Bermuda and an overview of their ongoing research and education projects. The tour lasts approximately 90 minutes and is an interesting tour for everyone, including children over 1 years of age.

The Gold Tour - Waterville and Paget Marsh

Join Tim Rogers, a local historian, antiques specialist and expert guide at ‘Waterville’, an exceptional early 18th century Bermuda house on the outskirts of Hamilton which now serves as the Bermuda National Trust headquarters. View the antiques on display and explore the surrounding grounds planted with a variety of local and exotic flora, including a formal rose garden.

A short drive away is Paget Marsh, a miraculously unaltered wetland. Step back to pre-colonial times as you enter this quiet oasis, a haven for wildflowers and bird life.

Bermuda Bridge Club Games

Bermuda Bridge Club, Pomander Road, Paget

The Bermuda Bridge Club runs regular bridge games that are open to anyone including visitors. The Club plays Duplicate Contract Bridge. Games are open to all except on Wednesday and Thursday evenings, which are restricted to players with less than 300 and 100 Master points.

City of Hamilton Walking Tours

City Hall & Arts Centre (steps), Church Street, City of Hamilton

Join the City of Hamilton’s Town Crier, Ed Christopher, and experience Bermuda on foot while discovering unique facts about places in the city. Dressed in his official uniform, Ed will lead you through the City of Hamilton’s vibrant streets as you learn about the history and culture of this dynamic city.

The tours start on the steps of City Hall and last approximately 2 hours. There is no set route. Comfortable footwear is highly recommended. Note: maximum 45 people.

Admission: Free

Reservations are not needed as you are welcome to just show up at City Hall prior to the start of the tour, but it is recommended that you confirm the tour will be conducted on the day you are interested in by contacting City of Hamilton (see Enquiries).
