Transport on Bermuda

Getting around Bermuda is just as exciting as enjoying the island's many activities. From sightseeing on the back of a moped to touring the island in the back of a taxi, we offer transportation options for every type of guest.

Scooters

A truly Bermudian way to get around: motor scooters and pedal bikes (bicycles) are ideal for exploring our Island's winding streets and to stop in a “lay-by” to take in the ocean views.

Scooter riders and cyclists of all levels can make the most of our favourite modes of transport. Fear not, our speed limit is never set above 20mph / 32kph. Just remember, we drive on the left!

Motor Scooter requirements

Renting a scooter requires three things:

  • You must be at 18 years of age or older
  • You must wear a helmet
  • You must drive on the left-hand side of the road

The cycle liveries are happy to provide a delivery and pick-up service at your hotel.

On your bike!

We love our pedal bikes. Our many long, twisting roads make cycling our Island particularly rewarding. Just remember, if you ask to rent a "bike" or "bicycle", most Bermudians will assume you want a motor scooter, because we call them "pedal bikes"! In addition, we now have hybrid electric bicycles that offer all the advantages of a regular bicycle including fun, exercise and zero emissions, as well as an electric motor that provides help getting up the steep hills in Bermuda.

Rentals range between US$30 and $35 per day.
