Cultural Events: The Cup Match celebration originated in 1901 to celebrate the emancipation of Bermuda slaves. The holiday is a festive and highly anticipated two-day cricket match between St. George's and Somerset cricket clubs. Seating is available to visitors plus refreshments at the Visitors' Stall; enjoy the local cuisine from the many food stalls and try your hand at the Crown & Anchor tables.
